Today marks the beginning of five days of digital dialogue, innovation, and national progress — all under the theme: Towards a Digitally Empowered Samoa.
This week, we bring together government agencies, the private sector, civil society, international partners, educators, and the public to celebrate how far Samoa has come on its digital journey — and to chart the road ahead.
What to expect this week:
- Days 1 & 2 — Taumeasina Island Resort | Spotlight sessions on Samoa's Digital ID and Digital Payment Infrastructure, agency showcases from across government, the SITA x MCIT Mini Tech Expo, a whole-of-government GovStack discussion, and a session on AI & Cybersecurity in Digital Transformation. Finishing off with the First half of the ICT Sector Annual Review.
- Days 3 & 4 — TATTE Conference Center Level 1 | A two-day Child Online Protection Train-the-Trainer Programme, delivered by ITU and UNICEF, for educators, school counsellors, youth leaders, and community representatives.
- Day 5 — Sheraton Aggie Grey's Hotel, Apia, Samoa | The second half of the ICT Sector Annual Review and the Official Launch Ceremony — including the landmark launch of two national policy frameworks that will shape Samoa's digital future to 2030.
